Padel Ipswich

Ipswich’s first ever dedicated padel centre was made possible thanks to the team at SEH French.

We were tasked by our parent company, One Group Construction, to convert its former warehouse space in White House Road into two fully-kitted out padel courts.

The four-month-long project saw us fully strip out the building’s interior, before laying the specialist latex flooring and fitting the frames for the glass panel enclosed courts.

Other works included the creation of a new welfare unit and wiring work to fit keypad entry systems, allowing the courts to be used securely out-of-hours. 

Will Neall, Property & Developments Manager at our sister business SEH Developments, said the reaction from the public has been ‘staggering’ – with the courts regularly fully-booked throughout the entire week. 

He added: “Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and when we tried the game for the first time last summer, we instantly fell in love with it.

“So, we decided to build two courts of our own in one of our warehouses.

“So far, the reaction from both the public and our employees has been staggering.

“The only problem is we can’t get a court ourselves – we might just have to build some more…”
