New pharmacy for Hellesdon Hospital

In September 2022, SEH French completed works on the new pharmacy facility at Hellesdon Hospital.

The site, run by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), cares for people with acute mental health conditions.

Its pharmacy had been relocated to a temporary facility, so it required a permanent location.

Working alongside Hoopers Architects, JP Chick and Castons, our team has delivered a bright, practical environment for the operations of the new pharmacy.

The facility is located on the ground floor, while the boiler room is located on the first floor. Its open plan design accommodates various spaces for different activities carried out by the pharmacy. These include dispensary, clinical trials, dispatch, storage and waste sorting bays. Also, a controlled drugs room was included within the new build.

In order to connect the facility with nature, a Bauder green roof has been installed. So, staff can enjoy the outside area as the wildflowers change with the seasons.

The design by Hoopers Architects and our building works provided a space complimented with natural light, unlike its former facility.

Additionally, SEH French carried out refurbishment and remodelling works to an existing space within NSFT’s Harnser House.

As well as providing a permanent location for the new pharmacy, this project has freed up the previous temporary facility for other use by NSFT. As the former facility is a modular building, it can be relocated at ease and adapted to fit its purpose. While SEH French is not involved in the move of the former facility, you can find out how we’ve used modular building here

We would like to thanks Hoopers Architects, JP Chick, Castons and the rest of our supply chain for their support on this project.
