Littlegarth School
The project involved a new standalone building providing new reception classrooms with external play space, an enlarged library space with ICT facilities, a performance arts studio, music studio and associated ancillary spaces.
The main structure is a steel frame with infill secondary framing system allowing the increased levels of thermal insulation of provide a high performance envelope alongside a composite insulated roof.
The external façade materials were selected to compliment the existing sports hall, with through colour render feature panels, including a projecting bay defining the main entrance lobby and contrasting timber cladding.
