SEH French shortlisted for prestigious national award

SEH French are proud to have been shortlisted for a prestigious national award for our work on the Nexus clean energy business hub in Lowestoft.

We’re in the running for Project of the Year East at the National Project Excellence Awards (NPEA) after constructing the Nexus project in Newcombe Road – a range of 16 modern business units.

The Nexus aims to create a cluster of clean energy sector businesses to enhance investment in the area, offering easy access to the port of Lowestoft, OrbisEnergy and East Coast College’s Energy Skills Centre.

Our Director, Simon Girling, said: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for this prestigious national award.

“It has been a joy to work on such a high-profile project for the Lowestoft area which looks to spur on the rejuvenation of the surrounding area.

“This area of Suffolk is set to become a powerhouse for clean energy, and we are delighted we have played our part in it.”

The NPEA awards, which are organised by the Procure Partnerships Framework, take place at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool on September 18th, showcasing the best projects across its framework.

The Nexus is the first large-scale project developed by East Suffolk Council to revitalise this area of the town – known as the Power Park – which is already attracting significant investment.

It offers a range of units of varying sizes to let, appealing to businesses from start ups to established firms, all with EV parking on site.

To attract more firms to locate at the Nexus, the council is providing one-off capital grants to buy fixtures and fittings for the new units.

Councillor Paul Ashton, Deputy Leader of East Suffolk Council and Cabinet member for Corporate Services, said: “Developments such as The Nexus will support high skilled job creation whilst creating a sustainable future for the town and the wider area.”
